feeling overworked, overwhelmed, rushed, & burnt-out?

Here are 3 yoga therapy & mindfulness practices to aid in slowing down, destressing, and soothing the nervous system…

  1. Elongated breathing —> See how long you can extend your inhales and exhales.

    Can you extend towards 5, 8, even 10 or 15? Practice regularly & see if you can lengthen over time.

  2. Mindful Eating —> See how slow you can eat. Notice as many sensations & details as you can. (taste, color, smell, texture)

    Aim to stay focused & in the moment. If the mind wanders, just notice where it went, non-judgmentally. With compassion, redirect towards the present moment, as many times as you can.

  3. Yin Yoga —> Allow you body to slow down. Remind your inner systems it is safe and healthy to be still. It is a form of self-love & self-care to do this.

    Retrain your nervous system. Reframe your mind.

    Somatically release stored tension that’s in the body. Neck. Shoulders. Back. Hips.

    Breathe deeply… & let it go.
